Such a fun Senior Session. We had the opportunity to do a little bit of everything!

When they told me what they had in mind for the basketball pictures I was so excited to change up my lighting and do something new. Photography is all about lighting; it’s presence or absence and the direction of light. I feel like I’m constantly looking for where my light is coming from when I photograph and trying to control how much I want to capture with my camera, subject and surroundings. As you can see in these basketball images when we shut of all the surrounding lights and just had my directional studio lighting used from an angle it gives some great dramatic light, perfect for athletic images! Notice how the direction of the light changes as we move the subject around, can you spot where the light is by how the different shadows fall on the subject?

Next we shot some outdoor images which I always love to do and captured some of this fun Senior boys love for the great outdoors! Congrats Caden! Congrats class of 2020!~
